Watercolor Wedding Invitations

This month we wanted to share with you our design process for our watercolor wedding invitations. The process starts with a conversation with our brides about what they have in mind for their invitation suite. After the bride provides all of the details, we then gather inspiration imagery to base our watercolor paintings off of. Sometimes, if a bride wants a specific floral pattern, we gather live flowers to be able to get an accurate image for our paintings.

We paint everything by hand, which can often take a full work day or more to make a single painting. We start with a pencil sketch which is then lightened and painted. Afterwards, we scan our paintings into the computer and refine them with our design programs. These graphics are then arranged within your wedding invitation designs. We work with a professional print vendor to achieve prints that are rich in color and are only printed on premium cardstock.

Below are a few photos of our watercolor paintings. Let us create a custom piece for you today!
